In this issue of Feministische GeoRundmail, we would like to introduce you to the geographies of necessity. We share the view of Leslie Kern, who writes: "the bathroom-or the lack of a bathroom-generates all kinds of questions about safety, accessibility, gender, sexuality, class, homelessness, race and more" (Kern 2020: 106). This issue aims to provide an impetus to discuss geographies of need from feminist and critical perspectives.
